Why I Love Biscuit Love in Franklin, TN

Biscuit Love is hands-down my favorite brunch restaurant ever. My husband and I love going there for an order of bonuts, an East Nasty, and, of course, delicious drinks! Tyler gets a fruit tea, and I order an oat milk latte with honey. Everything is divine every time we go. Between the food, the Corn House’s atmosphere, and the people, it’s hard not to go back time and time again.

What Is Biscuit Love

Biscuit Love is a brunch restaurant that first started in an Airstream food truck. They now have multiple locations in the Nashville area and one down in Alabama. The restaurant is owned by a local family that cares deeply about serving their community delicious food. They’re humble people who have won awards, been in magazines, and even been seen in foodie shows but aren’t focused on those things.

They care about serving the community good food made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients. Their goal is to make everyone feel at home once they walk through those doors and share what real Southern hospitality means. Even more special is their mission to nourish lives by serving food that feels like home.

Our Favorite Location is Downtown Franklin

My husband and I’s favorite location is downtown Franklin in the Historic Corn House! It’s a beautiful Queen Ann style home that’s been a part of Franklin’s history since the 1800s. It is named after the Corn family, who bought the house in 1920.

The atmosphere here is calm, relaxing, and homey. There’s nothing better than being seated by a window, watching rain drizzle outside, sipping coffee, and chatting over biscuits with someone I love.

Our Favorite Biscuit Love Menu Items

The menu at Biscuit Love is absolutely delicious. From hand-squeezed orange juice to the best chicken and biscuits, you won’t be disappointed. Here’s what we always order, and we recommend you do the same!

The bonuts are biscuit dough that’s been fried and rolled in sugar, topped with a lemon mascarpone, all sitting in a bed of blueberry compote. It is 100% as good as it sounds. The two of us always share an order of five bonuts.

East Nasty

The best and most popular thing to order is the East Nasty. It’s a fried boneless chicken thigh, covered in sausage gravy, topped with shredded cheese, all on a buttermilk biscuit. It’s so good my mouth is watering just thinking about it! You will not be disappointed.

The Princess

The Princess is similar to the East Nasty; it’s a Nashville-style spicy fried boneless chicken thigh topped with honey, pickles, and stone-ground mustard on top of a buttermilk biscuit. It’s got a spicy kick and the perfect flavor! I highly recommend giving it a try.

Fruit Tea

If you’re not sure what fruit tea is, it’s a blend of sweet tea and fruit juices. It’s fantastic! The fruit tea at Biscuit Love is a mix of sweet tea, pineapple juice, orange juice, and lemon juice. It’s a good thing you get free refills because you won’t be able to stop at one glass!

Honey Oat Milk Latte or Cappuccino

There are tons of coffee and tea options at Biscuit Love, but my favorite is an oat milk latte with honey. Sometimes I switch it up with a cappuccino version for a stronger sip. Both are super creamy, perfectly sweetened, and so dang delicious. Not to mention the colorful mugs they’re served in.
