There's something comforting about a warm bowl of apple cinnamon oatmeal. As a child, I used to crave this breakfast food before school. It always made me feel cozy when I felt unsure about the day ahead. Now that I'm grown, I decided to create a from-scratch version; it's even better than before!
Slice and core an apple into small chunks, leave peel on.
Add apples to a pot on medium heat (you can add 1 Tbsp of water if they begin to stick), and cook for 5 minutes or until apples are softened (skip this step if you like a little bit of texture).
Add all other ingredients to the pot and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat until oats are soft.
Serve and enjoy!
