Homemade Chocolate Syrup (better than Hershey's)

This homemade chocolate syrup recipe will have you ditching the store-bought versions. I'll let you in on a little secret, it's better than Hershey's! Once you've had a taste, you'll never go back. We've always got a batch ready to go in the fridge. I know you will love it as much as we do!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup pure cane sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions
 

  • Add water and cane sugar to a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir occasionally until it begins to bubble (about 5 minutes)
  • Once bubbling, add in cocoa powder and whisk until combined.
  • Turn heat down to low-medium and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Take off heat and strain with a fine mesh strainer.
  • Enjoy or let cool completely before storing in the fridge.

Notes

Storage Instructions:

Store syrup in an air-tight glass jar or storage container for up to 3 months. Stir before using.
