Best Broccoli Chicken Stir Fry
Molly LaFontaine of Plum Branch Home
Chicken broccoli stir fry is the perfect weeknight meal, done in under 20 minutes! Unlike most stir fry recipes, my sauce has a malt vinegar base for the best flavor. I also included fresh ginger root to brighten the dish and tie each ingredient together.

Stir Fry
- 1 large boneless skinless chicken breast (or 2 small)
- 1 small yellow onion
- 1 stalk of broccoli I prefer organic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Sauce
- 1/4 cup malt vinegar
- 1/8 cup raw honey
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger root or paste
- 1/8 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp cornstarch
First, cut chicken breast into 1"x1" chunks. Then chop broccoli crowns into small pieces.
Second, heat olive oil on medium-high heat and add in chicken, broccoli, onions, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Next, cook these ingredients for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. If your ingredients begin to stick add a little water.
While the stir fry is cooking, in a small bowl, mix together all sauce ingredients until combined.
Finally, turn heat down to medium-low and add sauce to the pan when there's 5 minutes left on the timer. Stir frequently until thickened and chicken is cooked all the way through.
