Best Ranch Dressing Recipe Inspiration

In our house, we eat tons of buffalo sauce which means ranch is a staple in our fridge. After looking at the ingredients in store-bought ranch I wanted to find one that didn’t contain seed oils or additives. But I couldn’t find a brand without it. So I decided to whip up a version of my own.

Helpful Tips

  • If you can’t find dried dill you can substitute it with fresh dill
  • Look for a mayonnaise without seed oils (avocado oil and olive oil are okay)
  • Find buttermilk in your local grocery store

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (I like the simple truth organic mayonnaise from Kroger)
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried dill

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a bowl or glass jar and stir together.
  • Serve instantly or let sit in the fridge for a few hours for more flavor.

Storage Tips

Store ranch in an air-tight jar or container for up to 2 weeks in the fridge. Don’t dip any food directly into the sauce to prevent it from going bad.
