Watermelon Limeade Recipe From Scratch
There’s something about sipping a cold glass of watermelon limeade on a hot day. It’s refreshing, perfectly sweetened, and oh-so delicious. Inspired by a popular drink recipe I created last year, I had to create yet another iced watermelon drink.

Watermelon limeade recipe inspiration
Last summer, I developed a watermelon lemonade recipe, and PBH readers loved it. I couldn’t believe how much y’all enjoyed that recipe, so I wanted to create another version!
This watermelon limeade is part of my Summer Table Series. If this is your first time on PBH or you haven’t heard, we are currently doing this series on the blog to help readers like you get more fresh food from scratch on your summer table.
Each week during June, July, and August, I’m creating three new summer recipes that you can put on your table this warm, sunny season.
So far in this series, PBH readers have loved my sourdough peach scones, the fresh mint iced coffee, and my sweet pepper chicken sheet pan dinner.

Ingredients you’ll need
- fresh limes
- pure cane sugar
- fresh watermelon cubed
- sparkling mineral water (I love the S.Pellegrino brand)
Make a summer drink tool kit
If you love iced drinks, especially ones you can make at home from scratch, I highly recommend creating a summer drink tool kit for your kitchen! You may already have these helpful items, but if you don’t, they’ll make whipping up iced drinks so much easier!
This section contains affiliate links to products I know and love
- blender so you can blend up fresh fruits
- fine mesh strainer to strain the fresh blended fruit juices
- glass pitcher to store your iced drinks with ease
- mason jars for cute drinking glasses
- silicon ice cube tray so you have plenty of ice

How to make watermelon limeade
First, squeeze the juice out of all 4 limes into a pitcher. Either add a strainer on top or remove the seeds while juicing.
Next, add cane sugar to the pitcher and stir until dissolved in lime juice.
Then slice your watermelon into medium-sized cubes or scoop the fruit with a spoon and add to a blender. Blend for 30-40 seconds to ensure a smooth texture.
When finished pour watermelon juice into the pitcher (if desired you can strain this juice with a fine mesh strainer but don’t have to).
Finally, add in sparkling water and stir everything together until well combined. Serve over ice. Enjoy!

How to serve
As we all know, iced drinks are best served on a hot day in a mason jar. But you can serve this watermelon limeade anyway, anytime. As long as it’s served cold with ice cubes, you’ll love every sip!
Storage instructions
Store this limeade in the fridge in your pitcher for up to 7 days. You can store it covered or uncovered.
