My homemade everything bagel seasoning takes only 2 minutes to make! It’s made with garlic and onion powder rather than dried garlic and onion flakes. I wanted it to be easy to whip up with spices you probably already have in your kitchen. My favorite way to use this seasoning is on top of sourdough bagels. Inspiration Behind My Homemade Everything Bagel Seasoning Recipe

My husband, Tyler, and I absolutely love sourdough everything bagels. I make them at least once a month for Saturday and Sunday mornings! But I wanted to find a more budget-friendly way to make the seasoning. It can get a little pricey at the store.

So one weekend when we ran out, I decided to make my own, and that’s how this recipe was created! I used what we already had in the house and kept it simple.

My hope is that this recipe not only helps you switch to making your own everything bagel seasoning but also saves you money.

How to Store Homemade Everything Bagel Seasoning

Store everything bagel seasoning in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. I like to keep glass spice jars when I’ve used them up to store homemade seasonings. It’ll last 6 months to 1 year.

If I don’t have any leftover seasoning jars, I like to also use 4-oz Ball mason jars for storing homemade seasonings. They work wonderfully!

Variations to Try
