Coconut Hot Chocolate Recipe Inspiration

The weather here in Tennessee has finally begun to cool down. With this drop in temperature, it’s got Tyler and me craving a warm mug of hot chocolate that’s extra creamy, so I whipped up a new flavor. I wanted it to be simple, full of wholesome ingredients, and of course taste delicious.

Best Cocoa Powder to Use for this Recipe

My favorite cocoa powder to use is anything unsweetened any pure. I switch between Trader Joes Store Brand or Hershey’s. Both have wonderful flavor. I do not recommend Walmart’s Great Value brand or Kroger’s store brand. They both have a very diluted chocolate flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups (14 oz) coconut milk (any kind)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 Tbsp raw honey
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract (not imitation)
