Holiday Punch Recipe Inspiration

As the holiday season creeps closer, I’ve set out to create from scratch versions of traditional recipes. I believe you can have the same comforting foods without all those additives. That’s why I created this delicious punch.

There are tons of holiday punch recipes online but most of them call for sugary sodas, alcohol, and toxic food colorings. I wanted to develop a punch that was just as tasty, if not more, that benefited our bodies rather than harming them.

My holiday punch has flavor profiles of pomegranate and orange and is naturally sweetened with honey. The sparkling mineral water gives you a fizz without watering down the flavors or adding harmful ingredients.

Tips to Make the Best Holiday Punch

  • Use a 100% pomegranate concentrate or juice with zero other ingredients added in (I like to use the POM Wonderful brand)
  • Use the S. Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water brand
  • Choose organic oranges for this recipe (Walmart has an affordable 3lb bag option)
  • Only use raw unfiltered honey

Non Alcoholic Holiday Punch Ingredients

  • 4 oranges (organic is best)
  • 24 oz. POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice
  • 33.8 oz (1.06 QT) S. Pellegrino Sparkling Mineral Water
  • 1/4 cup raw unfiltered honey

How to Make Holiday Punch

  1. Cut the oranges in half and squeeze their juice through a fine mesh strainer into a large punch bowl or pitcher.
  2. Add pomegranate juice, sparkling water, and honey to the same punch bowl or pitcher.
  3. Stir everything together until the honey is completely dissolved and everything is well mixed.
  4. Garnish punch with orange slices and serve using a ladle. Enjoy!

How to Make Ahead

To make this punch ahead of time, up to 24 hours before needing it, mix everything in the punch bowl besides the sparkling water. When it’s time to serve, add sparkling water and give it a quick stir.

How to Store

Cover the punch bowl with a lid or silicon wrap and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. Do know after a day in the fridge, the fizz will go away.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve in a punch bowl or glass 4 QT. bowl with a ladle
  • Use mason glasses or other short cups made of glass
  • Garnish each glass with 1/2 of an orange slice

Recipe FAQ

  • How is this recipe healthy? This holiday punch uses fresh juice from oranges, 100% pomegranate juice, raw honey, and sparkling mineral water. These ingredients are wholesome!
  • Can I use cranberry juice instead of pomegranate? You can however I’m unsure if you’d need more honey or not.
  • I can’t find the brands you mentioned can I use something else? You can use any 100% pomegranate juice and any sparkling mineral water brand.
