I got this recipe idea when I realized I needed to use up the apple butter that was sitting in our fridge. At the time, we didn’t want any baked goods, so I decided I’d make something savory with it.
So I thawed some chicken out and added a few spices to the apple butter. It turned out delicious, so I decided to put it on the blog!

Kitchen Tools You’ll Need
How to Make Roasted Apple Butter Chicken
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a small bowl combine apple butter, salt, pepper, onion powder, and apple cider vinegar. Mix to combine.

Take each chicken breast and butterfly it. To do this you’ll cut the best horizontally in half only 3/4 of the way through. Then you’ll open up the breast so it’ll be thin and large.

Dip each butterflied chicken breast in the apple butter mixture. Make sure each side is coated.

Place the opened chicken breasts on the sheet pan (make sure they’re not touching) and spread the excess apple butter on top of the chicken breasts.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 25-30 minutes until cooked all the way through. Enjoy!
