Why You’ll Love Mango Lemonade

If you enjoy sweet drinks but want healthier choices without harmful additives, dyes, and sugars, you’ll adore this recipe! It only requires 4 ingredients, so you can be sure of what you’re consuming. I carefully selected wholesome, natural foods to make this recipe both nutritious and delicious—so much so that you’ll want to pour yourself a second glass.

Ingredients For This Recipe

  • 2 lemons
  • 1/2 cup cane sugar
  • 4 1/2 cups water
  • 2 1/2 cups mango chunks (about 3 mangos)

How to Make Mango Lemonade

  1. First, squeeze lemons into a glass drink pitcher (remove seeds or squeeze over a strainer) and add in sugar stirring until combined.
  2. Then cut up mangos into chunks (cut the mango cheeks and sides off the pit and score into chunks removing with thumb).
  3. Next, add mango chunks into a blender with 2 1/2 cups of water, blending on high for 1 minute.
  4. Finally, strain mango juice into your pitcher using a fine mesh strainer and add in additional 2 cups of water. Stir until combined, serve over ice or store in the refrigerator.

Storing Mango Lemonade

Storing this mango lemonade is so simple. Keep it in a pitcher in the fridge. Add a beeswax wrap or silicon cover if your pitcher doesn’t have a lid. Before serving, stir to combine (it may separate). This recipe will last in your fridge for 4-5 days.

Recipe FAQ

  • What kind of strainer is best to use? Use a fine mesh strainer to ensure a smooth drink.
  • Why does this recipe not use heat for the syrup? Instead of making stovetop syrup, you’re making a raw one in a blender. It’s so much easier and saves time.
  • Do I have to use fresh mangos? Yes! You could try to use frozen mango chunks but your consistency won’t turn out the way you’re hoping. Fresh mangos are the best way to go.
  • Do I need to use organic mangos? You don’t need to use organic mangos but doing so gives you more nutrients and a better flavor. I highly recommend it if you can find some, if not don’t sweat it!
  • What blender is best to use? You can essentially use any blender or food processor. I currently have a basic $30 blender and it works just fine.
  • How do you cut up a mango? Check out the section above for video instructions!
  • Is mango lemonade good for you? This recipe is much healthier than most sweetened lemonades and drinks! With whole food ingredients, you’re adding nutrients to your body. Also, there are zero additives, dyes, or fake sugars in this recipe.
