I love the flavor of these burgers; they’re so savory and much lighter than a beef burger. Although a hamburger is still my favorite! I love the hint of Parmesan; it goes perfectly with the chicken and spices.

Inspiration Behind My Ground Chicken Burgers Recipe

With Memorial Day just around the corner, I developed a sourdough hamburger bun recipe and needed a burger to go with it. I wanted to develop a burger that was lighter than the traditional beef burger to mix things up. These are delicious when you’re craving something light!

Best Way to Reheat Chicken Burgers

I like to reheat these burgers from the freezer (or fridge) in a pan or the oven until warm. It preserves the flavor and texture.

How to Make Ahead

You can make these ground chicken burger patties ahead of time and place them in the fridge instead of cooking them. Uncooked patties can be made up to 24 hours in advance.

If you want ready-to-go burgers, you can cook the patties and place them in the freezer once they’ve cooled down. They’ll last up to three months in the freezer. When you’re ready, pop them in a skillet, grill, or oven until warm.

Or you can freeze uncooked patties for up to 3 months in the freezer. Let them thaw in the fridge overnight before you cook them, then continue with the recipe as normal.

Variations To Try

  • Add fresh diced onion and minced garlic for an even fresher flavor.
  • Try a little fresh cilantro in the mix for a twist.
  • Add Italian seasoning for a specialty burger.

  2. Hi can I airfry these burgers , and if yes for how long

    1. Hello, yes you can air fry these chicken burgers. I don’t have an air fryer but I did a little research for you and you’ll want to cook them in your air fryer at 400 degrees for 7 minutes or until they’re completely cooked inside.
